Albert Pick Hall, home of UMIA
The institute dedicates an important portion on its incubating efforts to advance research on issues influencing the Americas in the 21st Century. Themes addressed include hemispheric health, gender and social development, social justice, migration, arts and humanities, energy and the environment, and economic policy.
In 2018 the areas of focus, championed by our faculty leads, are Hemispheric Health, Social Justice, Mexico and Mesoamerica, Latin American Studies, and Hemispheric Caribbean Studies.
A focus on access to health care for all, specifically in the the region.
